Things I like and use.

This site is plain files: markdown, YAML, and one SQLite vault, generated into static HTML. Set in Sherman Serif and Sherman Sans, the Field Notes typefaces. The palette comes from a stack of Plotter refill sheets sitting on my desk. Plain files are the point, not a technical preference. A site made of files you hold can be hosted anywhere and can outlast the company that hosts it.

On paper: a Plotter binder, refills in every color they make. The journal comes first; the site is downstream of it. Paper is not nostalgia. It is a thinking surface.

Software I trust: a short list, earned slowly. It grows as things earn their spot.
